Golden Monkey or Jin Hou is afamous Chinese black tea with leaves that resemble monkey paws. Golden Monkey originates from the Yunnan province, China, and is hand-processed each spring with careful plucking of only one leaf and one bud.
This tea is sweet and "nosy": savoury roasted apples, palm sugar, walnut, cocoa, rye and spice notes that linger as you sip. Rich, coating texture and smooth, soft mouthfeel are signs of high quality of tea. This complex black tea can be enjoyed in multiple infusions, a real treat for black tea lovers.
Brewing instructions: Use approximately 2.5 grams of tea leaves (1-2 teaspoons) for every 250 ml of water. Steep tea leaves at the boiling point of 100 °C for 3-4 minutes.
Keep in an airtight container, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
